Do they not have paparazzi on Coruscant? You'd think they'd have telephoto lenses trained on Padme's veranda at all times. I can't imagine them not printing the pictures of her, obviously pregnant, and the half-naked Hero With No Fear making googly eyes at her.
If Obiwan visited Padme's apartment in the morning, why didn't he sense Anakin sleeping in the next room? Even in the novelization where the scene was included, he didn't notice.

It sounded to me like Palpatine told Anakin he knew how to stop death, then later backtracked and said they could figure it out together. Why didn't Anakin notice the lie about something so important to him?

Why didn't Yoda and Ben train Luke and Leia from birth? Anakin didn't exactly impress them with the merits of starting training late. They didn't mention being afraid the Emperor would notice. (And he didn't notice when Ben started training Luke.) You'd think waiting until the last minute would be a bad idea. What if they'd died when the twins were four?
