Zombie Finals
Jun. 13th, 2007 11:02 amI didn't think much of the shambling students when I went to sell back my textbooks. It's finals week. Everyone's a shambling zombie during finals week.
Only this time, it's literal.
I noticed something was wrong at the student union's post office, oddly enough. It's staffed by students, so they don't fall under the normal postal worker personality profiles. They're usually listening to music and chatting about their classes. This time, though, they pulled the student in front of me over the counter, and... well... let's just say I didn't get my letters mailed.
I sped home (lucky I brought the car! the bus would have been a deathtrap!) and logged on to LJ, my trusty source of news from around the world.
tears_of_nienna had already reported on the zombies. That's getting near the other end of the US. Now I'm wondering whether my sister on the East Coast didn't call me back yesterday because it started earlier there.
And what about the rest of you? Are Brazil and Norway infested, or have you guys escaped so far? Blog if you're not a zombie!
I'm preparing to head for the hills, where my parents live. It might be far enough away, and there are deer and turkeys there we can eat. Good thing they started a garden, too - we'll have vegetables.
Damn. And I was just about to get to wear a cap and gown for the first time ever. I guess this means no party, either.
