I'm through the first three discs now - just finished the episode about the dock strike. I spent the whole episode thinking about why this felt so much more convincing to me than the labor strike in BSG. I also ran home last weekend to tell my mom, "I'm watching a new show and there was this really fascinating episode on sticky medical ethics! I don't know if you'll like the rest of the show, but you should watch that one!" (She's in healthcare.) So yes, there will most likely be meta.
I am SO glad to hear the second commander is better. You're right, it's the blinking and over-articulation. Gah!
