That Chaucer/Star Wars mashup you didn't know you wanted

Geoffrey Chaucer (who hath a blog) is working on a new poem, one set A long tyme agoon in a shire far away. The old eremite is a tricky fellow: "Ful wys he was, no action-hero merely,/Thogh of paternitee he spak unclearlye."

And there is a very important point concerning the smugglere: "In altercaciouns he ay shot firste."

And Slytherin, of fen

Salazar Slytherin is a puzzle. We know that he came “from fen.” Other fans more familiar with English geography than I have given convincing theories that the Sorting Hat meant the Fenlands in England, so at least we have something to work with. But how does a 10th to 11th century English wizard get a name like Salazar?
