BSG miscellany

Ahahaha! As it turns out, we do have an answer as to whether all this will happen again: remember the Terminators?

We will also find out what the Cylon plan was in the fall, when The Plan, a two-hour special, airs. You know, if you tell us the Cylons have a plan in every intro for 3+ seasons, but don't reveal what that plan is in the actual show, there is a problem. Major things like that are best not left to spinoffs.

Random... when Kara told Baltar, "I'm not an angel," did anyone else Dido's "No Angel" (available for listening here)?

Also, if Lee had a theme song for his relationship with his father, I bet it would be Linkin Park's "Numb" (lyrics).

Didn't watch BSG - I'm thinking maybe I should, if only to find out how the hell one makes a succesful tv series for four years without explaining the goals of the main antagonists within the series itself...

It has its flaws in the long-view, but the show's still top-tier. Great acting, production value, and writing (for the most part). It asks the tough, interesting questions, even if it doesn't resolve them so well. Some of its vague "spirituality" can pretty annoying for hard s.f. fans, though - just a warning.

You'd be great at fanvids! Those songs are perfect.

There are a couple I'd like to make, though it would be so time-consuming. For instance, there's a Martin Gore (of Depeche Mode) cover of Nick Cave's "Loverman" that would make a fantastic, creepy Leoben/Kara homage (you can listen at this site (http://martingore.com/discography/index.html), if you scroll down to where it says Counterfeit - the album, and click on track 005 "Loverman".) It's unsettling, actually, hearing the creepy lyrics with the slick Depeche Mode vocals and techno.

& Switchblade Symphony's "Cocoon" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGT238-Jvz8) cut with shots of Kara flying her viper and brooding over her Aurora figurine could be awesome. Problem is, things like that never turn out as badass as one imagines them. And I don't have a Mac with Final Cut, either.
