I like this list - and agree with pretty much everything.

Especially the "messy universe" and the "living past" - i think these two things are extremely important when creating a fantasy/sci-fi scenario. In fact I'd say they are just as important as good characters as far as these genres are concerned.


Oh and "Firefly"'s no sound in space was awesome!
